Basic Cream Soup Recipe 

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instant potato flakes

Melt butter in pan.  Blend in flour, and seasonings.  Add milk a little at a time and stir to prevent burning.  If soup is too creamy, then add a small amount of instant mashed potato flakes to thicken it.  If soup gets to thick, add more milk to thin it.
