4 egg yolks 2 cups milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup white sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar
Caramelize white sugar and water in a sauce pan. Set aside. Combine brown sugar and egg yolks and beat until well mixed. Heat the milk to almost boiling and then add milk little by little to the egg yolk mixture. Add vanilla to egg mixture. Then pour caramel in buttered oven safe dish. Follow by pouring egg mixture into dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until done in the middle. |
