1/4 cup dried chick peas (also called Garbanzo Beans) Half Quart Mason type Jar Cheesecloth Rubber Band
Soak chick peas in warm water for 1 to 2 days until they become soft. Place soaked peas in the jar and cover the top with cheesecloth. Secure with rubber band. Place jar upside down in a bowl and keep in a warm dark area. Underneath your kitchen sink is a good place for sprouting. Rinse peas every day with cold water. After 2-3 days, remove jar from darkened area and place in direct sunlight. Continue to keep moist. These are ready when the spouts turn green from the sun exposure. |
