Chocolate Macaroons Recipe 

2 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 square baking chocolate
1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Beat cream of tartar and egg whites together.  They should be very stiff when ready.  Mix in sugar and continue to beat.  Melt chocolate square in a double boiler and add to egg mixture.  Stir in coconut and vanilla.  Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees until done.
