1 onion, chopped one small piece salt pork 1 cup chopped, cored tomatoes 1/2 cup chopped okra 24 oysters 3 pints basic roux Seasonings that you like
Throw salt pork in hot pan and cook until you get some good grease. Brown the onion in the grease. Then throw in the tomatoes and okra. Add the roux and simmer on low for about 15 to 20 minutes. Mix in the oysters and cook another 5 to 10 minutes. You can add flour to thicken the whole thing up. |
