Cooked Carrots Recipe 

6 large carrots
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt

Peel and wash carrots.  Cut into two inch segments.  Heat water and salt to boiling in a covered pan.  Add carrots and continue to boil for two minutes.  Reduce heat to a simmer and cook covered for 30 minutes.  More water may need to be added to pan during cooking.  Serve with butter, salt, and pepper.
