Cooked Parsnips Recipe 

1 1/2 pounds parsnips
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt

Peel parsnips and cut into 1 inch wide slices.  Place water and salt in pan and bring to a boil.  Add parsnips to boiling water and cook for two minutes.  Reduce heat to low and cover pan.  Cook parsnips for 30 to 40 minutes or until tender.
