1 cup hash brown potatoes
1/2 cup sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
3 tablespoons apple juice
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
2 tablespoons chopped red pepper
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon caraway seed
1 small red apple, cored and chopped
6 ounces turkey sausage links cut into 1 inch pieces
In dish combine hash browns, sauerkraut, apple juice, green onion, pepper, brown sugar and caraway seed. In colander toss together apple and sausage. Place colander in dish. Cover and cook on high in microwave for 5 to 6 minutes or until potatoes are hot, stirring sausage mixture once. Stir sausage and apples into potato mixture. |
