3 cups dry pinto beans 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon chili powder 1/4 cup cooked onion, minced 1/4 cup bacon grease
Cook beans in water for 2 to 3 hours or until they are all tender and done. Drain pinto beans. Stir in other ingredients. Simmer over low heat for about 15 more minutes to let flavors mix well. Serve with fresh cornbread. |
