1 eight ounce can mushrooms 1/2 grated onion 1 tablespoon canned pimento pepper 1 tablespoon butter 1 tablespoon flour Dash salt Dash cayenne pepper
Make a mash of mushrooms, pimentos, and onions. Sauté in a buttered pan until all is heated through and the flavors have mixed well. Mix in salt, flour and cayenne pepper to make spread thicker and less watery. Use this spread on fresh dark rye or whole wheat bread. Cut sandwiches in half and serve. |
