Rinse chicken, pat dry. Salt and pepper the inside cavity of the chicken. Place garlic and butter inside cavity.
1 stick butter 1 clove garlic 1/4 cup lemon juice
Combine in a saucepan, heat until butter melts. Bake chicken in a covered casserole dish at 300 degrees for 60 minutes, basting frequently with the liquid.
