9 inch graham cracker pie crust 1 can sweetened condensed milk 3 eggs, separated 1/2 cup lemon juice 1/3 cup sugar
In a bowl combine sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, and lemon juice. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and mixture thickens. Pour into pie crust. Using an electric mixer, beat egg whites until soft peaks form and then gradually add sugar and beat until stiff. Spread egg whites over top of pie and make small peaks with a plastic spatula. Bake until peaks brown, about 15 to 17 minutes at 400 degrees. |
