Package fudge brownie mix
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
Make the brownie mix as directed on the package. Spread one half of the mix into a greased pan of appropriate size. Place this pan in a 350 degree pre-heated oven for ten minutes to partially bake. Cut cream cheese into small pieces and mix with sugar and egg. Beat well. Remove the pan form the oven and pour the cream cheese mixture over the top of the partially cooked brownies. Layer the remaining brownie batter over the top of the cream cheese mixture and then swirl the two top layers together with a butter knife. Return the brownies to the oven to continue baking for at least another 25 minutes. Check brownie doneness with a toothpick in the center. |
