2 1/2 pounds rutabagas 1 cup water 1 teaspoon salt
Peel and cube rutabagas. Cook in salted water for 20 minutes at a low boil. Once rutabagas are tender, remove from pan and drain through a colander. Mash rutabagas with butter and add sugar and cinnamon to create sweet mashed rutabagas. Mash with butter and black pepper to make regular mashed rutabagas. |
