Non-Dairy Clam Chowder Recipe 

1 and 1/2 cups margarine, melted
1 and 1/2 cups flour
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup celery, diced
1/2 carrot, grated
1 tablespoon thyme
large can minced clams
4 red potatoes, diced
1 onion, diced
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped finely
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
2 cups water

Combine butter and juice from canned clams in a pan over medium heat.  Mix in vegetables and cook until tender.  Add in other ingredients and use flour to make the clam chowder thicker.  You may need to vary the amount of water added.
