2 tablespoons shortening 1 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup sugar 1 package instant yeast 1 cup warm water 1/2 cup warm milk 3 1/2 cups flour 1 egg 1/2 cup butter
Add all ingredients, except egg, into a large bowl and mix well. Cover and set aside to rise until doubled in size. Next add one beaten egg to dough and knead lightly on a floured surface. Allow to rise again until doubled in size. Roll dough out to about 3/4 inch thickness and cut using round glass or cutter. Rolls should be about 2 inches in diameter. Place on greased baking sheet. Melt butter in microwave and brush tops and sides of rolls. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes. |
