2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon red food coloring
3/4 cup chopped mixed nuts
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup pureed plums
3 eggs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients and beat with electric mixer until batter is smooth and creamy. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Make a glaze for this cake by mixing 2 tablespoons lemon juice or orange juice and 1 cup powdered sugar. Paint cake with glaze when hot out of the oven. |
