Raisin Oatmeal Bars Recipe 

1 cup flour
1 cup quick rolled oats
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 cup raisins
2 tablespoons sugar

Mix water, raisins and sugar in sauce pan over medium heat.  Cook for 2 minutes, then stir in cornstarch to thicken.  Keep cooking until a thicken mixture is formed.  Set to the side for later.  Combine all other ingredients in a mixing bowl.  Save aside 1/2 cup of this mixture for topping.  Press the remaining crust mixture into a 8 x 8 pan.  Top with a layer of the raisin mixture.  Sprinkle left over crust mix on top.  Bake these bars at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
