Simple Clam Chowder Recipe 

8 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
1 cup finely diced onion
one large can minced clams with juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup butter
1 quart container half & half
three cubed potatoes

Fry the bacon in large pan and save bacon grease.  Add onions to pan and cook in bacon grease until they are well browned.  Add the reserved clam juice to the onions and also add the potatoes so they can cook for about 15 minutes.  Add the clams and all the other ingredients and cook another 5 to 10 minutes.
