1 cup shortening 2 cups sugar 6 tablespoons milk 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice 3 beaten eggs 5 1/2 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 3 teaspoons baking powder
Combine sugar and shortening and mix well. Add milk and vanilla to beaten eggs. Combine dry ingredients and begin to mix a small amount of the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients. Continue until a dough is formed and all ingredients are used. Chill dough in the fridge for two hours. Use a rolling pin to roll dough on a clean surface to about 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick. Cut dough into festive shapes. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Check bottom of cookies to see if they are brown. |
