2 lbs. round steak cut into 1 inch cubes 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 package onion soup mix 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup tomato juice 1 tablespoon sugar
Brown cubed floured steak in shortening. Drain off extra grease. Add soup, tomato juice, dry onion soup and sugar. Put 1/2 of meat and sauce into large casserole dish, put a layer of sliced potatoes, layer rest of sliced potatoes with meat and sauce. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. |
