6 pork chops suitable for stuffing 1 1/2 cups crumbled cornbread 1 1/2 cups cooked whole kernel corn 1 teaspoon salt Dash pepper Dash chili powder 3/4 teaspoons sage, ground 1/4 cup grated onion 1/4 cup diced apple 1 beaten egg 2 tablespoons milk 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Heat oil in skillet or pan. Make a pocket in the pork chops with a knife by cutting along side the bone, or ask your butcher to prepare them for you. Set pork chops to the side. Combine all other ingredients in a large bowl and mix until a stuffing is formed. Stuff pockets of pork chops with an equal amount of stuffing mixture. Pan fry both sides of each pork chop until brown. Transfer pork chops to a baking dish and cook them for 60 minutes at 350 degrees. |
